Films Screened in July
July 10, 2012 1 Comment
Another belter of a night. I am constantly surprised by the enthusiasm of the Write Shoot Cut audience who show such love for the films screened and a real appreciation for the filmmakers during the Q&As. Thank you to everyone who came along last night. The cinema was packed once again and no one was put off by my comparing skills (Ross will be back next month). All the films were well received with people mentioning that they liked the diversity of the programme. There were some really insightful Q&As with the Edinburgh based filmmakers which helped make the night special. The networking in the bar afterwards was particularly boisterous with many people connecting for the first time as well as catching up with old friends.
It’s going to be tough to make August’s screening as good as last night but I will try! We’re back on Monday the 13th August at The Banshee Labyrinth for another night of short films and networking, if you came along please spread the word about your experience and encourage others to come along. We are also seeking submissions so please send in your films for consideration.
Here are the films (or trailers for the films) that we screened last night. Please check them out and if you enjoy a film contact the filmmakers and tell them, it’s always nice to hear from people who see your work.
